Cyberonics Limited (“we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16441372, with its registered office at 84 Katherine Road, London E6 1EN. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at admin@cyberonics.uk.com or +44 7584 285008.
What we collect and why
Contact form and website-check requests: your name, email address and any company name, phone number and message you choose to give us. We use these to reply to you and to prepare any quote you ask for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Free website check: the website address you enter, the date and time, and your IP address. We use these to run the check, to stop the tool being misused (for example, limiting how many checks one connection can run) and to understand which checks are useful. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure tool.
Business contact details: we sometimes email businesses whose contact details are published on their own website or public business listings, about services that may help them (for example, a website that isn’t loading). We only contact limited companies and other organisations this way, each email says how to opt out, and if you reply “no” we won’t email you again. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses about relevant services.
Clients: if you become a client, we keep the contact and billing details needed to deliver our work and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technical cookies or logs to keep the site secure and working.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the providers that run our services: GoDaddy (website hosting), Sucuri (website security and firewall) and Microsoft (email). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quotes that don’t lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
Website-check logs and IP addresses used to prevent misuse: up to 90 days.
Opt-out requests: kept for as long as we need to make sure we never contact you again.
Client records: for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years for accounting records).
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it (including any marketing, at any time) or ask us to restrict its use. Email admin@cyberonics.uk.com and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We’ll update this page if the way we use personal information changes, and change the date at the top.
